Who operates SQLWire
SQLWire is provided by Paul Scarborough, a sole proprietor in Ontario, Canada (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Information handled by the software
SQLWire processes database connection settings, schema metadata, SQL text, debugger information, and query results on systems under your control in order to provide its features. This information is not intentionally transmitted to us by the software.
Website and purchase information
This marketing website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics. If you purchase SQLWire, Stripe may collect contact, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive the purchaser name, email address, payment identifiers, product, amount, currency, and payment status needed to issue and recover your signed licence. We store the resulting order and licence record for fulfillment, fraud prevention, customer support, accounting, and licence recovery. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by SQLWire.
LAN and HTTPS features
LAN access is optional. If enabled, you are responsible for limiting access to trusted networks and devices. Optional HTTPS is available to encrypt browser traffic; locally generated certificates may need to be trusted on each device you use.
Retention and disclosure
Purchase and support records are kept only as reasonably necessary for licensing, support, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We may disclose information when required by law or to service providers acting on our behalf.
Your choices
You may choose not to enable LAN access or submit support information. Privacy requests can be made through the support channel listed on the Visual Studio Marketplace product page or purchase receipt.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
